A taxi will cost ~$20 from the airport to just about anywhere downtown. Otherwise, Detroit (DET) and Chicago (ORD) are both 3-4 hour drives, depending on traffic, and Lansing is roughly 90 minutes.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"hotel\">Hotel Recommendation<\/h3>\n<p>We recommend the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.holidayinn.com\/hotels\/us\/en\/grand-rapids\/grrpe\/hoteldetail\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Holiday Inn, Downtown Grand Rapids<\/a>. It&#8217;s just across the street and around a corner from where the conference is being held.<\/p>\n<p>There are several other hotels in the area, so find what will work best for you. In fact, if you&#8217;re looking for hotel that is unique to Grand Rapids, we also highly recommend the <a href=\"http:\/\/amwaygrand.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Amway Grand Plaza Hotel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"dining\">Dining<\/h3>\n<p>There are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps?q=Grand+Valley+State+University,+401+Fulton+Street+West,+Grand+Rapids,+MI+49504&amp;hl=en&amp;sll=42.963411,-85.680045&amp;sspn=0.009571,0.008368&amp;hq=Grand+Valley+State+University,+401+Fulton+Street+West,+Grand+Rapids,+MI+49504&amp;t=m&amp;z=15\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">plenty of incredible places<\/a> to eat all within walking distance of the GVSU campus.
